The Milk River

Man I'm excited. I'm about to head to the Milk River in Montana to try and arrow one of those big Montana whitetails. I'll be sure and report on the trip when I get back.

But until then, tell me which state you'd hunt if you had an all-access tag that would allow you to hunt anywhere...

And would you take your gun or bow? Now that should be an easy one.

Yours in archery,
Travis

If i had a tag anywhere in the US, I belive I'd head to the good ol' state of Illinois. Pike Co. to be precise. I see you guys on Road trips and the Primos crew handing out the carbon shaft to some gnarley monsters. I want to try my arrow slingin' skills there.

i think it would have to be south iowa or kansa and with the ol hoyt going on a trip with your gun is less fun anyways

Living in Illinois, I already hunt my favorite state. But if I had to say somewhere else, I'd probably pick right where you are going. Beautiful scenery and op.....portunity galore. I would call it a close tie to the farms the Lekoski's and Kisky's hunt as well in Iowa and would sure like to have Tiffany guide me. What a woman!

I would have to say that the milk river would probaly be number 1. then maybe Iowa or Illinois. With out a doubt the only way to go is with the ol Hoyt. To be able to hunt with a bow is the ultimate rush.

Iowa on Lakosky Farm or Kisky property. With Tiffany as guide also like that answer. Bow or Gun would be awesome. Milk River would be my next choice, w/ you guys and McCormick's cooking. I didn't my invite this year, Ha! - Dilbeck

I would have to say either the Milk River or Iowa. Then probably Illinois. I would use my bow (hopefully my new one). Good Luck to ya. Talk to ya later.

As someone who use to live in Illinois, I would give my bottom dollar a chance to go back and hunt there since I did not pick up deer hunting until I was almost thirty. I would have to rate Iowa and Kentucky a close second.

New Mexico, elk and my Browning 7mm A-Bolt. Subject to change of course, I'm still practicing w/ my bow!

    Hey T-Bone,

If you're gonna give me a tag for anywhere, at any time, I'd have to cash it in and ask to go to Iowa and hunt with Lee and Tiffany on their farm. What a privelage it would be to not only hang out and get to know them, but to then harvest a big, mature Iowa whitetail. I can only imagine what it would be like to be sitting in a stand seeing a nice 150 - 160 class deer coming my way, then laying the smack down on him with my old CSS bow. Just thinking about it gets my heart pumpin! But I get that way just thinking about getting out to hunt whitetails in general. Well, there's my two cents. Thanks for letting me post T-Bone and good luck this entire season!

I live in Indiana just 10 miles from Illinois, so I guess I would have to choose to go after the legendary whitetails of Iowa. I would love to hunt with Lee and Tiffany Lakosky. They are always on big bucks. The manage their farms and herds well and Tiffany's not too bad on the eyes. In my opinion Lee is the number one whitetail deer hunter on the planet. That guy is amazing. I would also go at them with my Hoyt Dynatec. Good luck to all the rest of the season!!

If I could hunt anywhere it would be my family faerm in MI. There are not a lot of monster bucks in the ara but it is where I honed my skills and where my best friends are. And that is a big a part of the hunt as anything. t

That being said, I think I would like to hunt with you, Waddell, Mundt, Rhett, and Blake at the Lakosky's, the Milk River, or Vatoville. You guys are a hoot and think that would be an amazing time! And thank you so much for your contributions to Bowcast, you are probably my favorite hunting personality and it is awesome to see you on a podcast and forum that I visit every day

    regards and shoot straight!

    T-Bone,

I'm from Western IL, and I don't think I would change it for the world. I think I'd stay right here. If I had to go somewhere else, it would either be Iowa or Kansas.

    Take care,
    Ryan

Man after seeing a Huge Buck on the forums this weekend...I would say Oklahoma. Maybe they know something down there we don't know. A 27 point non-typical in Oklahoma? WOW! That is one lucky hunter.

Next to that defintely Kansas and Iowa!

Can't wait to hear the report from Montana.

Any state? Arizona would be my pick, and I'd head straight to the Arizona Strip for a big monster muley with my buddy Hoyt. There have been some crazy big bucks taken from there in the recent past.
