Hey boys and girls-
Finally off the road for a few days and back home to do some blogs. ATA and SHOT shows rocked the house and the industry is strong. That's great news in a time when most industries are really struggling.
So I told you I'd be catching you up on my fall, so here we go with my Indiana deer.
T-Bone
What a bruiser! Look at the body on that thing. Something about them corn fed brutes, some of the best I have ever ate! I'm glad you had good luck in Indiana. It has been about 6 or so years since Indiana put in the "One Buck" rule, and in my opinion it has really paid off. The really neat thing is the idea came from the actual hunters in Indiana. Their where several town hall style meetings to discuss all aspects of conservation in Indiana, and the number one subject that over whelmed the meetings was Indiana hunters wanted bigger bucks. We knew we had the resources to grow monsters. So after the meetings we saw an increase in doe tags, and bonus doe tags, and instead of two bucks a year they reduced it to only one a year regaurdless of weapon.
It was nice to finally get to meet you at the ATA show. I appreciate the time you spent with me discussing the world of Archery. Your pearls of wisdom is exactly what I needed to hear. My wife strongly agrees with you.
Your haircut looks pretty good too. We had a ball watching Ole Mundt going to town. I think he had a lot more fun with it than he was suppose to.
Remember next year if you hunt Indiana and you are in need of a bow press you are more than welcome to use what ever I got.
