Like most bowhunters, I love flingin' some arrows in Texas. Of course the monster bucks are the prize, but even does and cull bucks are definitely necessary to take out.
Check out this big 4 I shot last fall.

'bout 4 years ago I took a 3 1/2 year old spike. That thing had 16" spikes coming out of his cranium. He looked like he just busted out of the gates of Hades. We had trail cam pictures of him and nick named him the Devil Deer. But a deer that old, with as much nutrition as we have out for these deer there was know way he should have looked like that. We all made a pact that he needed to come out of the herd. Well the 1st part of November he walked down a scent trail I had put down and he was looking for love. So I accomidated him with a 29" carbon love spear.
Funny thing about it is for as old as he was, he had to be one of the best eat'n deer I have ever harvested. Sometimes the trophy is on the dinner plate, not the wall.
