You are on the money with the fixed blade point of view. I have set up several women with shorter draw lengths and lower poundage. I have found that American Broadhead Company makes a real nice selection for this market. I really enjoy the wide range of grain weights that will match the spine of the arrows. My wife has used them for about 4 years now and has yet had an animal run out of sight. The animals include; 2 bucks, 5 does, and 2 hogs. She always gets pass through, which I am a big fan of. She shoots a Gold Tip 3555 cut to 26" and has an 85 grain Sonic head on the front. I would take a smaller cutting diameter if it increased my chances for penetration and a second hole. But that is my opinion and experience, plus she is a really good shot. That makes my job a little easier. You can't replace good shot placement.
