Deer hunting is fun. It was meant to be fun. If it isn’t fun, you don’t need to be doing it. Personally, I love to hunt deer. I love to shoot deer. And I love to eat deer. Those things are what it’s about. And I’m glad for it.
But sometimes, the fun of it has absolutely nothing to do with the hunt. Instead, it has to do with the camaraderie with those you share the outdoors with. I can speak for myself by saying that. And I’m certain it probably applies to many of you, too.

Whitetails make the hunting world go round. Josh Honeycutt, deer hunting editor and "Brow Tines and Backstrap" blogger, knows a fair bit about killing mature deer. He was raised up hunting the river bottoms of Kentucky. And he still hunts there—among other places—to this day.
Follow along as he shares his adventures, experiences and knowledge of the white-tailed deer.
