John Hafner spotted his buck bedded across a CRP field at 9 a.m.

He had to wait on the buck all day, but finally it stood up at 5:15 and gave him a shot.

At a distance of 230 yards, the shot connected.

Hafner's buck grossed 180 6/8 - McMillan had never seen the buck before or captured it on a trail camera.

The next night, McMillan arrowed this buck at 10 yards.
