Pre Rut

General Information

One of the best ruts we have had in years. Tons of chasing going on. I watched a mature 4 1/2 year old breed a doe in less than 2 hrs. I shot a nice 10 point trying to mount my decoy. Was trying to learn something and was rattling, grunting and using estrous bleets to get buck away from doe and had big 10 point sneak in. I was so busy watching deer porn I can't tell you what direction he came from, but I shot him at 10 yards. It is on. Spend every minute you can in the woods. I have sat all day 3 times this year and morning seem a little better than evening where I hunt.
