Realtree’s own Phillip Culpepper is one of the best hunters around. He’s bad medicine on turkeys. But it’s accurate to label him as kryptonite on big whitetails, too.

In this episode of Monster Bucks, Culpepper heads to Iowa in search of a midwestern giant.

“Me and Drake are going all in up here on the food plot tonight,” Culpepper said. “We’ve got quite a few bucks coming through here. But our main deer is that 6X5. That’s the No. 1 deer we’re after. There’s another deer that was on video last night right here on the Spartan camera. He looks a lot like him but has a split brow on his right side.

“We’ve got a good northwest wind,” Culpepper continued. “We slipped in the backdoor. We’re going to ride it out until dark. Maybe it’ll happen today on November 7.”

It’s safe to say it happened.
