This week on Monster Bucks, Josh McDaniel heads to Kansas with his wife, Krysten. The McDaniels are bowhunting over several fresh scrapes. Josh hits the grunt tube, and a mature buck makes its way toward their treestand, and works over a scrape at 22 yards. Josh draws his bow and takes the shot.
Tactical Talk:Hunting over scrape lines can be productive during the pre-rut and early phases of the rut. It’s generally best to focus on those that are close to bedding cover — as seen in this hunt — and ignore those that are on the edges of fields.
