Monster Bucks: All-Day Sit Pays off with Illinois Stud

David Blanton heads to Illinois for a highly anticipated bowhunt in early November. Bucks are cruising nonstop, and so Blanton decides to sit in the stand all day. It turns out to be a good plan because around lunchtime, a giant walks past his setup in easy bow range.

Tactical Talk: All-day sits can be the ticket during the early phases of the rut. This hunt clearly illustrated that as Blanton tagged his deer at noon, when most hunters are back at the house napping or eating a ham sandwich.
