Overview

One of Hoyt’s three new bow offerings for 2016, the Carbon Defiant Series, available in a variety of Realtree patterns and accent color combos, features Hoyt’s exclusive Helical Flex Tune Carbon Technology, which integrates more than 50 individually hand-laid carbon layers to form three strategically woven, hollow carbon tubes. Hoyt’s engineers have precision-tuned this design, deliberately varying the tube shapes and thicknesses to distribute forces and give a dead-in-the-hand feel. Also, for the first time in Hoyt’s carbon line, Hoyt have implemented its offset riser technology for additional stiffness and enhanced performance.

Another benefit of Hoyt carbon is that it provides 208 times more effective thermal insulation than aluminum, so you can ditch those bulky gloves that always screw up your shot.

For 2016, Hoyt introduces the all-new DFX cam, delivering Hoyt true speeds for incredible Kinetic Energy and bone-crushing performance.  For the first time, Hoyt also implemented a top and bottom cable stop design for an extremely solid back wall, as well as an optional limb stop, which creates a “no-play” feel on the back wall for rock-solid aiming, comfort and consistency.

The DFX cam features rotating modules that make it easy to adjust draw length without requiring module replacement or the need of a bow press. Simply loosen your module screws, slide the module into the desired draw length position, and re-tighten.

New UltraFlex limbs are engineered with a high-performance pre-load for ultimate performance, efficiency and a vibration-free, dead quiet shot. The new patent-pending dual-rocker pocket system makes the full length of the UltraFlex Limbs available for loading and energy transfer, while delivering on the Hoyt zero-tolerance tradition.

Correct head position is vital to the consistency and accuracy of your shot. The new UltraFlex Limb and DFX Cam Systems work in unison to deliver a longer axle-to-axle at full-draw and better effective string position at anchor. This improvement in Effective String Position promotes strain-free posture and relaxed head position by providing a more optimal peep position. It also creates a more forgiving string angle and reduces facial contact, string pressure and eye fatigue for better accuracy and consistency.

The result is a 2016 31-inch bow that feels and performs like last year’s 34. Your compact tree-stand or ground blind bow will aim and respond like a stable and forgiving 34-inch bow, and your 34-inch bow will perform like a 37-inch competition bow.

Available in three configurations, we’re confident that we have a set-up to specifically match your needs.

The Carbon Defiant, at 31”axle-to-axle, is the ultimate when it comes to compact accuracy. This lightweight bow is perfect for use in a tree-stand, ground blind or while hammering the high country.
