Yep, you read that headline right. A Florida man is facing charges after chasing convenience store customers with an alligator, only he doesn't remember doing it.
In the video footage Robby Stratton can be seen in the video walking into the Jacksonville store toward the counter with the gator while asking, "Y'all ain't out of beer are you?"
He then sees someone in the back of the store and says, “Is he taking the last bit of beer? You aren’t taking the last bit of beer are you?”
Stratton chases the man with the gator as people in the store laugh. He then enters the beer cooler where he grabs a 12-pack.
When asked by reporters about the incident, Stratton says he doesn't recall a thing.
“This store sells some good liquor and I drank a lot of it that night,” Stratton told a local TV station.
He says he has "no clue" where the alligator came from. "I literally came to the store and it was in the back of the truck. They tell me what I did was stupid and I’ll be facing some charges here soon. I'll probably go to jail ... probably not, we'll see.”
Stratton, who says he regrets his actions, has been in touch with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
So, have you ever gotten drunk and chased someone with an alligator? Haha. We bet one or two of you have.
