Sunny’s owners say he is constantly on the lookout for predators
Usually when a cat encounters a coyote, things don’t work out well for the cat. But recent camera footage shows a brave cat chasing a coyote off its property.
According to FOX 10 in Phoenix, a 5-year-old cat named Sunny was in his Arizona home’s yard last Friday, Oct. 26, at around 2 a.m. when a coyote wandered up.
Home surveillance footage captured Sunny sneaking up on the wild canine and boldly chasing it out of the yard.

Sunny’s owner, Kelli Koeller, said, “I did not expect to ever see that on camera. I suspected he does that on his own time or whatever, but I just did not expect to see it. And it was amazing to see.”
She said they adopted Sunny when they found him as a stray kitten and that he is a “street cat through and through.”
Koeller told WBRC Fox 6 News, “He loves to be on the rooftop and scan for predators and he’s just constantly on the lookout.”
