The California woman says bears are a common sight in the mountains where she lives
Do you love your dogs? Do you love them so much that you’d push an angry bear off a wall to save them?
One woman can answer "yes" to this question without hesitation because she did just that.
Video footage showing a woman running to her dogs’ rescue and literally pushing a mama bear off of a wall was just posted on TikTok.
According to Fox News, a TikTok user named Brenda, who posts under the username Bakedlikepie, posted the video over the Memorial Day weekend. The text with the video reads, "My cousin Hailey yeeted a bear off her fence today and saved her dogs. How was your Memorial Day?!I" The video has since gone viral, for obvious reasons.
The footage was captured by home security cameras at Hailey's California home.
The footage shows a sow and her two cubs walking down a wall bordering the home’s garden. Several dogs then appear and start barking at the bear. A large dog runs up to the bear, which strikes the dog across the face several times and sends it running.
Then, as the bear reaches down to grab one of the smaller dogs, Hailey comes running to its rescue and pushes the bear off the wall. As the bear climbs back onto the wall, the young woman picks up one of the dogs and runs into the house with the others.
In a later TikTok video, Hailey explains that she lives in the mountains where bears are a common sight. Hailey said she suffered a sprained finger from the encounter.
